Çağrı Coşar, a Lawyer in Turkey, is a founding partner at Cosar & Akkaya advising to domestic and international clients.
He holds an LL.M. degree in International Law, and was a lecturer in Kaplan International London, UK where he taught International Economic Law and English Legal System before going into private practice as Turkish Lawyer.
He has experience in a variety of international clients in fintech, e-commerce, IT, energy, and insurance sectors. His experience covers all aspects of transactions from due diligence investigations, contract drafting, and negotiating and structuring deals to advising on regulatory aspects for those transactions.
Çağrı advises clients on a wide range of cross-border commercial transactions including IT, licensing and outsourcing contracts as well as franchising, distribution and other types of procurement arrangements.
He has been representing some major domestic and international clients in the e-Commerce and Payment Systems sectors in which he directs various regulatory compliance projects including but not limited to compliance to the regulations of Banking Regulation and Supervision Agency, The Financial Crimes Investigation Board, Competition Board and Personal Data Protection Board.
In recent years, he was also involved in various mid-level private M&A deals and also acted as an independent 3rd Party escrow agent in many other deals. He has a proven track record in the incorporation of foreign-capitalized companies, structuring the investment, conducting share sale transactions, asset sales, joint ventures, investment agreements and resolving shareholders’ conflicts.
He is the author of numerous papers on payment services, electronic money, fintech, insurtech, information technologies, e-commerce and data protection.
Çağrı’s first degree was Political Science and International Relations from Marmara University. He then completed his LL.B. degree in Universtiy of Westminster, London where he later got his LL.M. in Internation Law. He also holds Turkish Law Degree from Marmara University, Faculty of Law and is admitted to Istanbul Bar Association. He provides services in Turkish and English
